Semaphore sunset

I'm just not a sunset artist. Perhaps it's because I use acrylics and the colours are certainly not as vibrant as oils are in such works. However, I had to paint this one. The sun was well down past the horizon and the oranges were subdued. It was such a peaceful end to the day at Semaphore beach. The painting was first to sell in an exhibition last year because it had a dog in it!
